REPORT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA SUBMITTED TO THE GROUP OF STATES AGAINST CORRUPTION OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE (GRECO)

The Ministry of Justice has submitted to the Group of States against Corruption of the Council of Europe (GRECO) the Report of the Republic of Serbia, which contains additional information on the implementation of the remaining recommendations within the Fifth Evaluation Round. These recommendations relate to the prevention of corruption and the improvement of integrity in central government and law enforcement bodies.

TRAINING HELD FOR MINISTERS IN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA: “INTEGRITY STANDARDS OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS THROUGH THE LEGAL AND INSTITUTIONAL FRAMEWORK FOR PREVENTING CORRUPTION”

The Agency, in cooperation with the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and the General Secretariat of the Government, implemented another in a series of trainings entitled “Integrity Standards of Public Officials through the Legal and Institutional Framework for Preventing Corruption”, thereby completing the training cycle for ministers.

THE 11TH SESSION OF THE CONFERENCE OF THE STATES PARTIES (COSP11) TO THE UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION AGAINST CORRUPTION (UNCAC)

The Director of the Agency, Dejan Damnjanović, as the head of the delegation of the Republic of Serbia, is participating in the Eleventh Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (COSP11), which is held from 15 to 19 December 2025 in Doha, Qatar. The theme of the conference is “Shaping Integrity for the Future”. The conference, which takes place every two years, is a key forum where the signatory states of the UNCAC make important decisions regarding the implementation of the Convention. The Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption is one of the most important events at the global level in the field of combating corruption, organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and serves as a platform for the exchange of knowledge, strategies and best practices in the context of global efforts to combat corruption.

THE 18TH TRAINING FOR LOBBYISTS

15.12.2025.

On December 11 and 12, the Agency organized the eighteenth training for lobbyists, within the framework of the competences established by the law. The participants were welcomed on the first day of the training by Director Dejan Damnjanović, who emphasized the importance of lobbying in the process of adopting laws, other regulations, and general acts, as well as its role in protecting the public interest and strengthening the rule of law in order to prevent corruption. “The Agency is convinced that lobbying should become increasingly important in the context of our country’s accession to the European Union, and that it should soon become one of the essential means that can help position our country and ensure its presence in international institutions, protect national interests, and realize business projects,” Damnjanović pointed out.

REPRESENTATIVES OF THE AGENCY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION IN MONTENEGRO ON A STUDY VISIT TO THE AGENCY

In line with one of the conclusions of the International Conference held two days earlier, which referred to strengthening regional cooperation among related institutions, the Agency today hosted representatives of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption in Montenegro. During the two-day study visit, representatives of the Montenegrin Agency from the Secretariat, the Department for the Implementation of Campaigns, Education and Research, as well as the Department for the Prevention of Conflicts of Interest of Public Officials, became acquainted with the organizational models of our Agency and examples of good practice. Employees of the Secretariat, the Sector for Integrity and Anti-Corruption Education, and the Sector for Resolving Conflicts of Interest  presented their many years of experience and results, with special emphasis on the development and implementation of anti-corruption education, mechanisms for preventing conflicts of interest and the accumulation of functions, procedures for transferring managerial rights, awareness-raising campaigns, as well as PR activities and cooperation with the media.
