More...Upon the public competition, Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Mr. Dejan Damnjanović issued the decision on allocation of funds for the project “Corruption risk assessment in the acts of local self-government units” submitted by the civil society organization Transparency Serbia. Six civil society organizations submitted their proposals within the competition focused on developing and strengthening integrity and enhancing organization, efficiency, and effectiveness of public authorities. Project proposals were focused on the corruption risk assessment in general acts adopted by the local self-government units, in line with the Methodology for Corruption Risk Assessment in Legislation, adopted by the Agency.
More...Delegation of the Republic of Serbia attends the 94th plenary meeting of the Council of Europe Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) from 5 to 9 June in Strasbourg. The Plenary will examine 3 evaluation reports relating to the 5th evaluation round, and 9 compliance reports relating to the 5th and 4th evaluation rounds, concerning overall 12 member States: Andorra, Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Türkiye and United Kingdom. Representative of the Republic of Serbia acts as a rapporteur for Second Compliance Report of Netherlands in the 5th evaluation round. The 5th evaluation round deals with preventing corruption and promoting integrity in central governments (top executive functions) and law enforcement agencies, while the 4th evaluation round covers prevention of corruption and promotion of integrity in respect of members of parliament, judges, and prosecutors.
More...Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Mr. Dejan Damnjanović met with the Chief Public Prosecutor of the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade Mr. Ljubivoje Đorđević, Public Prosecutor of the Second Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade Mr. Nebojša Popović and acting Chief Public Prosecutor of the Third Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade Ms. Jelena Biorčević Cerović. The meeting was held after the recent discussion of the Director of the Agency and the Supreme Public Prosecutor Ms. Zagorka Dolovac, aimed at defining further cooperation in prevention and fight against corruption.
