COOPERATION BETWEEN THE AGENCY AND THE REPUBLIC COMMISSION FOR THE PROTECTION OF RIGHTS IN PUBLIC PROCUREMENT PROCEDURES

Continuing the long-standing successful cooperation between the Agency and the Republic Commission for the Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures, the Director of the Agency, Dejan Damnjanović, and the President of the Republic Commission, Irena Grujić, held a meeting to analyze the results achieved so far, exchange experiences and specific practices of the two institutions, and discuss guidelines for future joint activities.

17TH SESSION OF THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL WORKING GROUP ON THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION HELD IN VIENNA

The Agency representative participated in the 17th Session of the Intergovernmental Working Group on the Prevention of Corruption, as well as in a joint meeting with the Group for the Review of the Implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), held from May 20 to May 22,  2026 in Vienna. The meeting was organized within the framework of the Conference of the States Parties to the UNCAC at the Vienna International Centre. During the meeting, issues of importance for the implementation of the UNCAC were discussed, with a special focus on preventive measures, the exchange of experiences, good practices, and state initiatives in the field of corruption prevention.

RAI REGIONAL WORKSHOP ON CORRUPTION RISK ASSESSMENT AND CORRUPTION RISK ASSESSMENT IN LEGISLATION

Representatives of the Agency participated in a regional workshop dedicated to corruption risk assessment and corruption risk assessment in legislation, held in Belgrade from May 11 to May 14, 2026. The workshop was organized by the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI), in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, with the support of the Austrian Partnership Programme and the Austrian Development Agency within the regional project SEE-TAC II. The workshops focused on areas within the scope of police work and environmental protection and brought together representatives of the Ministries of Justice, Ministries of Interior, and other relevant institutions from the region.

MEETING BETWEEN THE DIRECTOR OF THE AGENCY FOR PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION AND DIRECTOR OF THE REGIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION INITIATIVE

The Director of the Agency Dejan Damnjanović, met today with the Director of the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI), Albert Hani, to discuss the enhancement of regional cooperation and upcoming activities in the areas of rule of law, institutional integrity, and corruption prevention in Southeast Europe. Director Damnjanović underlined that regional collaboration plays a significant role in further strengthening the capacities of institutions engaged in corruption prevention, particularly through the exchange of experience, professional knowledge, and examples of good practice. He reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to active participation in regional initiatives and cooperation mechanisms.

MEETING OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE AGENCY AND THE MINISTER OF STATE ADMINISTRATION AND LOCAL SELF-GOVERNMENT

The Director of the Agency, Dejan Damnjanović, who is also the Head of the Delegation of the Republic of Serbia to the Group of States against Corruption of the Council of Europe (GRECO), discussed with the Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government, Snežana Paunović, the results of their cooperation to date, the reform of public administration, and the necessary steps to prepare the Republic of Serbia for the upcoming Sixth Round of GRECO evaluation. The meeting was held at the initiative of Minister Paunović, during which Director Damnjanović briefed her on the recent participation of the Delegation of the Republic of Serbia in the GRECO plenary session, held in Strasbourg from March 23 to March 27, 2026.
