GRECO PLENARY MEETING
06.06.2023.

Delegation of the Republic of Serbia attends the 94th plenary meeting of the Council of Europe Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) from 5 to 9 June in Strasbourg. The Plenary will examine 3 evaluation reports relating to the 5th evaluation round, and 9 compliance reports relating to the 5th and 4th evaluation rounds, concerning overall 12 member States: Andorra, Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Türkiye and United Kingdom. Representative of the Republic of Serbia acts as a rapporteur for Second Compliance Report of Netherlands in the 5th evaluation round. The 5th evaluation round deals with preventing corruption and promoting integrity in central governments (top executive functions) and law enforcement agencies, while the 4th evaluation round covers prevention of corruption and promotion of integrity in respect of members of parliament, judges, and prosecutors.

MEETING OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE AGENCY WITH THE REPRESENTATIVES OF BASIC PUBLIC PROSECUTOR’S OFFICES IN BELGRADE

Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Mr. Dejan Damnjanović met with the Chief Public Prosecutor of the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade Mr. Ljubivoje Đorđević, Public Prosecutor of the Second Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade Mr. Nebojša Popović and acting Chief Public Prosecutor of the Third Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade Ms. Jelena Biorčević Cerović. The meeting was held after the recent discussion of the Director of the Agency and the Supreme Public Prosecutor Ms. Zagorka Dolovac, aimed at defining further cooperation in prevention and fight against corruption.

EXCHANGE OF THE BEST PRACTICES IN THE AREA OF CONTROL OF FINANCING OF POLITICAL ACTIVITIES

Representatives of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption met today with the representatives of the civil society organization Transparency Serbia and Transparency International Czech Republic, together with the representatives of the Office for Oversight of Financing Political Parties and Movements in the Czech Republic. The purpose of the meeting was to exchange experience and best practices in the field of financing political activities.

DIRECTOR OF THE AGENCY WITH THE DIRECTOR OF TAX ADMINISTRATION

Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Mr. Dejan Damnjanović met in the Tax Administration premises with the director of this institution Ms. Dragana Marković. They discussed their cooperation, as well as the need and methods of its improvement. They pointed out mutual willingness to continue good communication and coordination, with a focus on a proper implementation of the Agreement on business-technical cooperation between these two institutions.
