The Memorandum of Cooperation that was signed today by the Director of the Agency, Dejan Damnjanović, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Novi Sad, prof. Tatjana Bugarski, Ph.D., comes as a result of the recent marking of the International Anti-Corruption Day and Anti-Corruption Week, during which the panel "Education of Youth in the Function of Preventing Corruption" was held at the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad.
The Memorandum establishes long-term cooperation between the Agency and the Faculty and brings numerous opportunities aimed at strengthening their educational, scientific and research capacities. On this occasion, Director Dejan Damnjanović and Dean Tatjana Bugarski, Ph.D., emphasized the importance of joint action, taking into consideration the importance of the education system, that is directly related to the possibilities of effective prevention of corruption.
The Memorandum represents a framework for the implementation of planned activities aimed at improvement of the work of institutions and additional strengthening of the youth education on the topic of corruption prevention, which is one of the priority goals of the Agency's work in 2024.
The Memorandum envisages the exchange of information and experience in issues related to theory and practice in the field of corruption prevention, the participation of Agency employees as guest lectures, participation at joint professional gatherings, joint work on scientific and research projects, organization of professional practice of students in the Agency, as well as the implementation of research, study programs, specialist studies and other forms of educational and scientific activities related to the fight against corruption.
The role of the regional office in Novi Sad, that will contribute to prompt and efficient implementation of the Memorandum, was emphasized.
