Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Dejan Damnjanović and H.E. Luca Gori met today to discuss future cooperation in the field of prevention of corruption. Director Damnjanović pointed to the assistance and efforts extended so far, in understanding the Agency for Prevention of Corruption situation and support of the Italian Government demonstrated in reinforcing good governance and mechanisms of corruption prevention in Serbia.
In this regard, we invited the Italian Government, as a long-term partner in the fight against corruption, for the purpose of establishing further cooperation, particularly, on the introduction of anti-corruption education, and study programs that respond to the complexity of the matter in the field of corruption prevention and the need to acquire specialized knowledge, primarily for the education of students, law graduates and professional staff.
H.E. Luca Gori expressed willingness of the Italian Government for continuation of cooperation and mutual endeavours with the Agency for Prevention of Corruption and reiterated the importance of prevention and new ways of strengthening efforts in such a significant globally present phenomenon.
The Agency has broad competence in the implementation of measures for the prevention of corruption, and the implementation of various activities with the support of international partners will contribute to the prevention and fight of the corruption.
