Under the slogan "For Serbia Without Corruption", with series of events in several cities in the Republic of Serbia, from December 9 to 16, 2023, manifestation the Anti-Corruption Week took place, that was organized by the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.
In this way, the Agency marked December 9, the International Anti-Corruption Day established by the United Nations Convention against Corruption.
Also, the manifestation with which the Agency marked this significant date was dedicated to the youth and their education as a prerequisite for strengthening general social integrity.
The Anti-Corruption Week started with the ceremonial academy which was held on December 9 in the House of the National Assembly and continued with the International Conference “Anti-Corruption Education and Youth Empowerment: Way to Strengthen the Integrity “which was held on December 11 in the "Metropol" Hotel in Belgrade.
We continued the week in the dialogue with young people at forums entitled "Education of Youth in the Function of Preventing Corruption" at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade, the University of Niš, the Faculty of Economics in Kragujevac and the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad.
In a symbolic way, on December 16, we had finalized the program of the manifestation with the chess tournament "Chess-checkmate to Corruption” organized by the Agency and the Chess Association of Belgrade. The Agency Director Dejan Damnjanović and President of the Belgrade Chess Federation Andrija Jorgić opened the tournament and played the first move.
The Agency thanks the participants and guests for their cooperation and support for events within the manifestation and continues to implement the ideas and activities of the Anti-Corruption Week.
