The Director of the Agency Dejan Damnjanović and the Minister of Education in the Government of the Republic of Serbia Slavica Djukić Dejanović discussed joint activities of the Ministry and the Agency in the further period, at the meeting today.
The role of youth education in the field of corruption prevention through the inclusion of this topic in extracurricular and optional activities and programs of primary, secondary, and higher education institutions is particularly highlighted, as well as other forms of cooperation between the Agency and the Ministry, by which a better understanding of this phenomenon faced by all countries in the world, will be achieved.
Also, the accent in the conversation was on the implementation of the activities from the Revised Action Plan for Chapter 23, as well as the activities related to the celebration of International Anti-Corruption Day, within which a significant number of activities related to academic society are planned.
Apart from that, the thematic conference, traditionally organized by the Agency on the occasion of the celebration of International Anti-Corruption Day, as a topic of this year chose the importance of youth education when it comes to recognizing and preventing this problem, then strengthening the integrity in the educational system, as well as empowerment of youth for fighting against corruption.
On the proposal of the Minister of Education, the Agency and the Ministry will conclude the Memorandum of Cooperation which will be the basis for the realization of planned joint activities.
