MEMORANDUM ON UNDERSTANDING SIGNED BETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS  AND THE  AGENCY FOR PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Dejan Damnjanovic signed today a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Agency for Prevention of Corruption. The Memorandum is focused on further improvement of the partner relationship between the Ministry and the Agency in the area of corruption prevention including obligations of the public officials as per the Law on Corruption Prevention.

Minister Dacic and Director Damnjanovic on this occasion also exchanged opinions on international cooperation in the area of corruption prevention, especially in the implementation of obligations from the ratified conventions, as well as the membership of the Republic of Serbia in international organizations, initiatives, and networks. They agreed that the successful cooperation will be continued in the future, especially through the coordination of activities of the Agency, Ministry, and other competent authorities and specifically regarding the participation of the representatives of the Agency in international and regional events.

The director of the Agency extended his gratitude for previous excellent communication with the representatives of the Ministry, particularly with the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the OSCE and other international organizations in Vienna as well as the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
