Within the Project “Facility Supporting Strengthening Rule of Law in the Republic of Serbia“ (EU for Fight Against Corruption and for Fundamental Rights), meetings were held with the representatives of the Special Investigation Service of Lithuania (STT), in the period from 21st until 24th November 2022, in the Agency for Prevention of Corruption. Representatives of the Sector for Legal Affairs, Sector for Prevention and Strengthening Integrity, Sector for Conflict of Interest and Lobbying Issues, and Sector for External Affairs and Strategic Development attended the meetings.
Topics related to corruption risk assessment, information sources, methods, and case studies were discussed at the meetings, and the updated Law on Prevention of Corruption of Lithuania was also presented.
Special attention during the second and third day was on corruption risk assessment in legislation. Lithuanian methodology on corruption proofing (anti-corruption assessment of legislation), STT monitoring system of the implementation of the remarks, and methodology on anti-corruption assessment of legislation for other institutions were presented.
After getting acquainted with the Corruption Proofing Methodology of the Agency and discussion, the most relevant ways for the improvement of Serbian procedure on anti-corruption assessment of legislation were presented.
