Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Dejan Damnjanovic met today with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dr Vladimir Orlic to discuss the improvement of cooperation between these two institutions.
During the discussion on future mutual activities in the area of corruption prevention, a commitment to its intensification was expressed. Speaker Orlic said that he and the National Assembly will fully support the future work of the Agency.
It was agreed to organize workshops with the competent committees in the following period, as well as training on ethics and integrity according to the Law on Prevention of Corruption. This would contribute to the implementation of the activities from the Revised Action Plan for Chapter 23- Subchapter Fight Against Corruption, as well as strengthening the capacities of the Members of Parliament.
The meeting confirmed that the Agency, besides fulfilling of legal obligations towards the National Assembly, In terms of regular reporting on the work of the Agency and responsible public funds management, through its own initiative, develops a partner relationship with the highest representative body in the country.
