COOPERATION AGREEMENT SIGNED BETWEEN THE AGENCY AND THE MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA

27.04.2026.

Director of the Agency, Dejan Damjanović, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić signed a Cooperation Agreement today which, in accordance with applicable regulations, provides for the exchange of data between the Ministry of the Interior and the Agency, the development and implementation of Integrity Plans, as well as the delivery of training.

Under the Agreement, cooperation will be carried out within the scope of responsibilities of these state authorities and in line with the highest professional standards.

At the request of the Agency, the Ministry of the Interior will provide data from the records it maintains that are necessary for the Agency to perform its statutory duties. Conversely, at the request of the Ministry, the Agency will provide data from its own records, including: the asset registry with accompanying documentation, where available; the registry of public officials; and data on submitted requests for the initiation of misdemeanor proceedings and criminal complaints.

Minister Dačić emphasized the importance of signing the Agreement, noting that it envisages strengthening institutional capacities in the fight against corruption, thereby reinforcing the integrity of institutions themselves and, consequently, public trust in their work.

He added that the Agreement also demonstrates a coordinated state response to corruption and enables more efficient detection of corruption-related criminal offenses.

Director Damjanović highlighted that, for the needs of the Ministry, the Agency will organize and deliver training in accordance with its programs—training for coordinators and members of working groups responsible for drafting integrity plans, as well as the training titled “Manager as a Driver of Integrity,” intended for Ministry leadership, with a focus on the importance of their role in the development, implementation, and oversight of integrity plans, as well as the responsibilities prescribed by the Law on the Prevention of Corruption.

Cooperation between the Ministry of the Interior and the Agency is of exceptional importance for strengthening institutional integrity and the effective prevention of corruption. Such partnership and coordinated action contribute to building public trust in state institutions. The joint activities of these two authorities represent a significant step toward enhancing transparency and accountability in the public sector.
