The Director of the Agency, Dejan Damnjanović, participated in the conference “Corruption Prevention: Regional Anti-Corruption Approaches and Challenges”, held in Petrovac. The event was organized by the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption of Montenegro, in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The conference brought together directors and representatives of anti-corruption bodies from the region, as well as from European Union member states, who shared their experiences in developing preventive mechanisms in the fight against corruption.
Director Damnjanović presented the conference participants with the results of the Agency’s work in the areas of digitalizing work processes, strengthening institutional capacities, and implementing programs and tools for education and the promotion of ethics and integrity. On this occasion, he emphasized: “Cooperation and open dialogue are the most powerful tools for strengthening regional collaboration in the fight against corruption. By exchanging experiences, we identify challenges and enhance strategies for transparency and the rule of law.”
Within the expert panel “Strengthening Integrity – Preventive Mechanisms”, the Agency’s Secretary, Nataša Božić, presented the tools and mechanisms for corruption prevention developed by the Agency, as well as its achievements in online training, the use of electronic forms and templates, and efforts to raise anti-corruption awareness among young people.
