The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia elected a new Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, Mr. Dejan Damnjanovic, a graduate lawyer from Belgrade.
Mr. Damnjanovic was elected by a majority of votes of all deputies (145 votes), from the list of candidates that the Ministry of Justice submitted to the National Assembly. For the first time, from the commencement of the application of the Law on Prevention of Corruption, the Director was elected through a public competition procedure conducted by the Judicial Academy.
