08.06.2026.

A working meeting of the heads of independent state institutions was held today, attended by: Zoran Pašalić, Ombudsman; Milan Marinović, Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection; Ivica Gavrilović, Auditor General of the State Audit Institution; Milan Antonijević, Commissioner for the Protection of Equality; and Dejan Damnjanović, Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.

The main topics of discussion included improving mutual coordination, strengthening professional ties, and discussing strategic guidelines and future steps in areas of common interest.

It was agreed to strengthen cooperation among independent institutions through the exchange of information, joint initiatives, and coordinated preventive action in areas of common interest.

“Independent state bodies share a common mission—the protection of the public interest and the rights of every individual. Our strength lies not only in our individual independence but also in our ability to act in a coordinated and unified manner in the face of systemic challenges,” was the joint message of the participants.

It was proposed that periodic consultations become regular practice in order to continuously monitor the effects of the agreed activities and respond constructively to social and legal changes. It was also agreed to invite other independent institutions to join future meetings.
