The Department for Strategy and Legislation includes the Group for Strategy Monitoring and the Group for Legislation Analysis.
The Group for Strategy Monitoring oversees the implementation of the National Strategy for the Fight against Corruption and the Action Plan for its implementation by collecting reports from public authorities – Action Plan reporting entities, and all other available data of relevance, based on which it analyzes and assesses compliance with the strategic documents. The assessment is published in the annual report on Strategy implementation, submitted to the National Assembly within the annual report of the ACA.
The Group for Legislation Analysis is responsible for monitoring legislation and assessing risks of corruption in draft legislation. Aside from assessing risk of corruption in legislation during the drafting stage, the Group also analyzes current legislation with the purpose of giving recommendations for its improvement and reducing the possibilities for corruption in the course of legislation implementation. The Group also formulates initiatives for legislation amendments, and participates in the work of working groups in charge of drafting legislation important to the fight against corruption.
